Momentus is a U.S. commercial space company that offers in-space infrastructure services, including in-space transportation, hosted payloads and in-orbit services. Momentus believes it can make new ways of operating in space possible with its planned in-space transfer and service vehicles that will be powered by an innovative water plasma-based propulsion system.
We believe our planned service offerings will increase deployment options for satellite operators and lower their operating costs relative to traditional approaches while also minimizing environmental impact given our choice of water as a propellant.
We plan to provide these services with Orbital Service Vehicles (“OSVs”) that we design and manufacture. While we plan to eventually operate a family of progressively larger and more capable OSVs, we are currently focused on developing the first vehicle of the family, Vigoride, which will primarily operate in low-earth orbit (LEO).
We conducted our inaugural test and demonstration mission with Vigoride in 2022 and began our second test and demonstration mission in January 2023. To date, we have deployed eight satellites for our customers.
